Meet The Team

Fuse Youth Worker
Jamie-Lee Rogers-Harvey
I am a young youth worker and throughout the week you’ll find me studying for my Youth Development Diploma and interning at Northcity Church, where I help lead and run youth group! In my spare time, I love doing a bit of photography, surfing and in winter, skiing and snowboarding are my thing! Fun fact: 98% of my injuries have happened at Mt Hutt… and yes, this doesn't stop me from going back!!

I am an avid reader, and I love playing volleyball, although I’ve never done it “professionally”. A cool part of my history is that I spent the majority of my high school years in Costa Rica, and a gap year in London. Having to start over and make new friends made me see the importance of having spaces with a fun, warm, and welcoming community, like with FUSE. I have also some other volunteer youth work, but my days are mostly filled with studying, as I am in my second year of law at UC.

Fuse Manager
Alicia Mallo- Manager

With a background in marine biology, I dedicated ten years to research and education across Australia, Tonga, California, Alaska, and Hawaii. I later moved to New Zealand, where I received my master’s in marine ecology from the University of Auckland. After becoming a mother of three, I transitioned into the not-for-profit sector, focusing on grant writing and not-for-profit leadership over the past 15 years. I’m passionate about supporting charitable organisations to help build resilient, connected communities and a thriving environment. I’m grateful to contract my services through my business, Ika Moana, as the Coordinator & project manager for a few not for profits - Blue Cradle Marine Science Education Programme, The Goat Shed & Surfboard Library, Sumner Bays Union Trust, Sumner Ferrymead Foundation and Sumner Community Residents’ Association & Hub recycling programme.
